Heavy Duty Railway Ferry Bogie
Description
This heavy‑duty rail‑traversing ferry unit is deployed where two travel tracks sit at different elevations. Its upper surface on the lower‑elevation side remains flush with plant floor grade. The lower carriage performs ferry duties and travels along the low‑level track. Rails fitted on the lower‑carriage platform enable docking against multiple ground‑mounted tracks, transferring payloads carried by the upper carriage onto any target ground track. Horizontal or longitudinal travel for the lower carriage can be configured to match site‑specific field conditions. Instead of being limited to dual‑layer layout, this ferry traverser can be engineered as three‑layer or multi‑layer construction to satisfy project‑based requirements.
Main Features/Technical Highlights
Hload capacity: The maximum load capacity can reach several hundred tons
Reinforced frame structure: Reinforced frame design
Smooth operation: low center of gravity, optimized weight distribution, minimal vibration.
Multi axis design: ensures smooth driving on curves and uneven tracks.
Customizable wheel and track options: suitable for standard or non-standard gauge
Power Supply Options & Maintenance
1.Power Supply Modes:
2.Upper Car: Best powered by a battery; low-voltage rail power is also available.
3.Lower Car: Can be powered via cable reels, tow cables, or sliding wires.
4.Battery Maintenance (for lead-acid batteries):
Regularly check and replenish distilled water or electrolyte.
Charge and discharge batteries periodically to ensure longevity.
Avoid deep discharge or letting the battery run completely flat.
Remote Control & Gear Reducer:
Handle the remote control and its components with care. Replace the remote battery regularly.
The gear reducer should be checked every 6–12 months, and the lubricant should be inspected and replaced as needed.
