In the low-voltage rail-powered electric flat car, the rail sliding contact line is used for power supply, and the grounding step-down transformer steps down the AC 380V power supply to AC 36V, connects the two rails respectively, and introduces them into the electrical box on the vehicle through the rails. The 36V is boosted to 380V, and the start, stop, forward, backward and speed regulation of the flatbed are controlled by the inverter through the AC control system.

However, the requirements for track laying are relatively high (the track needs to be insulated), and it is suitable for occasions with heavy load, high frequency of use, and medium and long distance transportation. When the running distance is long, multiple transformers are required for power supply.
