Checking the load of an electric transfer car is essential to prevent overloading, which can cause equipment damage, safety hazards, or operational failures. Here's a step-by-step guide to proper load checking:​

1. Pre-Check Preparation​

Review Rated Load: Confirm the transfer car's rated load (marked on the nameplate or manual) before loading. Never exceed this limit.​

Inspect Load Distribution Tools: Ensure on-board load sensors (if equipped) are calibrated and functioning. Prepare external tools like floor scales for manual verification if needed.​

2. Load Weight Verification​

Using On-Board Sensors: For carts with built-in load sensors, check the digital display after loading. Ensure the reading is below the rated load.​

Manual Weighing: For carts without sensors, weigh individual items before loading using floor scales, then sum the total weight.​

Visual Inspection: Check if the load is evenly distributed on the platform. Avoid concentrated weight on one side, which may exceed local load limits even if total weight is within range.​

3. Operational Load Checks​

Start-Up Test: After loading, start the cart slowly. Observe for signs of strain, such as slow acceleration, unusual motor noise, or sagging chassis.​

Braking Test: Test braking performance with the load. If braking distance increases significantly, the load may be excessive.​

Slope Performance (If Applicable): On sloped surfaces, monitor if the cart struggles to climb or maintain speed-this indicates potential overloading.​

4. Post-Operation Checks​

Inspect Platform & Chassis: After unloading, check for deformation, cracks, or loose bolts on the platform and chassis, which may signal hidden overload damage.​

Sensor Calibration: Regularly calibrate load sensors (monthly) to ensure accurate readings.
