Rail laying requirements for rail-type electric transfer cart

Mar 09, 2021

Rail-type electric transfer cart are loved by many customers because of their stable operation, long use time, convenient use, and no battery protection and charging troubles. However, there are requirements for laying the trajectory on which it runs.

       1. When laying the track, the steel rail should be insulated. The bottom of the steel rail should be coated with asphalt, and 5mm insulating rubber sheets should be added. The two sides of the steel rail should be filled with asphalt sand. The resistance between the two rails of the track is not less than 10 ohms.

       2. The voltage on the track should not be greater than 42V; the voltage at the end of the line should not be less than 30V, otherwise, a compensation line should be added.

       3. A single step-down transformer is connected to the trajectory, and the running interval of rail-type electric transfer cart is usually 70 meters. If the operation interval is too long, the number of transformers should be added, and multi-point power supply should be selected. The power supply transformers should be connected to the same power phase point. Generally, the number of transformers should not exceed 3.

       4. For the connection between the rail and the rail on the same track, use welding connection (smoothing after welding) to ensure good contact.

       5. Power is supplied by all the tracks. It is forbidden to let the metal parts touch the two tracks together and do not short-circuit between the tracks.
