Several features of heavy-duty AGVs
Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), as a kind of automated guided transport vehicle that combines heavy load function and intelligent navigation technology, has many remarkable characteristics.
High load capacity:
A heavy-duty AGV can easily handle a wide range of heavy loads from several tons to hundreds of tons, which gives it a significant advantage when handling heavy cargo or components.
Multiple navigation technologies:
Heavy-duty AGV supports a variety of navigation methods, including traditional electromagnetic navigation, ribbon navigation, magnetic stripe navigation, and the rise of two-dimensional code + inertial navigation mode in recent years, laser SLAM navigation. These technologies enable the AGV to accurately sense the environment and achieve precise navigation.
Adapt to different environments:
Heavy duty AGVs can adapt to different environments and working requirements, such as different types of goods and shelves, different process requirements, etc. In the warehouse, production line, special environment and other occasions can play a role.
Safety protection measures:
Eligible heavy-duty AGVs must meet ISO 3691 standards and have PL class designed safety measures, including scram devices, contact and non-contact protection devices, running lights, audible alarms, braking systems, and stall protection.
Intelligent obstacle avoidance: The heavy-duty AGV can accurately locate and identify objects in front of it, check obstacles in the upper space, prevent material collision damage, and ensure the safety of personnel on site.
